A Whole New Breed!
Dear Friends, we are a little over a month into our 4′th Community Transformations DTS. For several years we have been training Students from all over the world and sending them to the Nations. This last month we are struck by the new breed of students coming our way. The best way to describe them is that the cry of their heart is “for me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.” They seem to need no convincing that Jesus is worthy to lay down their lives for.
They are not waiting for us to even lead them, but rather giving us the privilege to challenge them for more. In the end of December we send these 65 students with 11 staff to Sweden, Finland, NYC, Cape Town South Africa, Mozambique, China, and Brazil. They will stay for 3 months, walking like Jesus walked, seeing His kingdom come and lives transformed. It is quite amazing to watch these radical worshippers change the world.
I’d love to share something not said often. My family and I are Happy Missionaries. We are full of life, amazed at what the Lord has called us too, and rejoicing at anything He would ask of us. Yes there is sacrifice. BUT…. Jesus is worthy to receive the reward of His suffering, and we rejoice to lay down all of who we are at His feet. We love to sit with the poor, share the gospel, feed the hungry, pray for the sick. He is worthy, and that is why we go. It’s why we press on with lack of funds, few possessions etc…. Not just because we felt Him ask us to go into missions, but because He is worthy.
Our family is doing so well, seeing such intimacy with the Lord together. New Riah is beautiful and particularly loves the sounds of worship. Elijah and Carter are both excelling in their own strengths and doing well in school. Bethany is healthy and already discipling many women here as well as training our staff.
| Friends, thank you for reading, and for your partnership with us. Consider today that He is worthy, and contemplate how wonderfully crazy it is that He invites us to partner with Him in seeing the world changed.
To his glory, Jeff, Bethany, and Kids. |
