8 December 2011

Hi friends, we love getting to write you and update on what the Lord is doing.  Its been another incredible month, seeing transformation in lives both here in Africa, and across the world.  I’ve said it before, but I believe we are on the brink of Revival across the world.  Below you will see a bit of what is going on in Africa, an update on the Comm Trans DTS, and more exciting news.

Here in Masiphumelele, South Africa, we are believing and following the Lord to see total transformation.
We rejoice daily in leading this community of radical Jesus followers who would lay it all down to see Jesus glorified in Masi.  There is so much to share about this place, our home, as we are believing for 1000 saved and trained revivalists by next may.  As you can imagine there are many stories.  God is moving.

Here is our favorite hightlight from this month.  (names are changed to protect our friends)

Mary is a young girl our team met early this year.  She was seemingly sleeping outside at night, and immediately clung on to our team, as we loved her.  Our team shared the love of Jesus with her, and we watched the Lord transform her life as she gave her heart to Him.  This month, Bethany and I met Mary’s mother, Janet.  Janet began to cry when we met her.  She took us to the side and explained that She had aids, and so did Mary’s sisters, but Mary didn’t know.  She asked us to help explain.  The next day, tearfully, we joined together with Janet and explained the situation to her.  What happened next was beautiful.

Mary turned to her mother and began to share the gospel with her.  She shared how God had saved her, and how he loved Janet as well.  Janet tearfully gave her heart to Jesus that day.  Redemption.  The gospel is good news.

Here are a few more things going on that we wanted to share with you.

DTS

In just 3 weeks this school of over 100 Jesus radicals will be on airplanes going all over the world.  Over the last 5 years these 3 month outreach teams have seen incredible fruit.  One of the teams will be here with us in South Africa, and we look forward to seeing what these next months bring.  God loves small groups of people that would believe he can do anything and will join him.

TRAVEL

In January, I (will) be teaching in Kona for a week in a DTS, and will also teach in the Comm Trans Fascinate school in South Carolina for a week.  This is our first non DTS transformation school and we are expectant to see what the Lord does. I may also be in Southern California for a few days.  If you are in any of these places I would love to see you.

PROVISION

Since our last update we have seen the faithfulness of God in our finances.  Many of you joined in sending one time gifts to us, as well as a few of you joining monthly.  We just wanted to say thank you.  We are still far from what is needed, but rejoicing as we trust the Lord.  If you would like to give one time or monthly, you can do that now with a credit/debit card following the paypal links.  Just click

Here.

Thank you again for your partnership with us.  Our family is doing amazing.  Carter recently said he’s thinking of telling people he is South African.  Elijah is surfing regularly now, and is the most popular kid in school.  Riah is just cute.  Bethany and I rejoice at getting to do this together.  It’s amazing to be partners in what God is doing.  Please reply to this email, as we would love to hear from you.  Christmas update is coming soon.
